Frequently asked questions

Is there a creche?

There is a creche room available next to the main hall. â€‹The room is not staffed so you would have to remain in there with your children but it does have a view of the main hall and access to audio from it (as well as plenty of toys and comfortable seating).

This year, the creche room will be used for a 'breakout group' for one hour during the day and will be unavailable during this time.

Where can I park?

There's parking available on the main road where the church building is located. This will fill up on a first come, first served basis.

We do also have a small car park available to the side of the building but ask that this is kept free for any disabled attendees.

Can I bring my own lunch?

You are more than welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks for the day.

Alternatively, you can choose to have lunch provided. You can make this choice when purchasing your ticket.

A ticket to the conference with lunch costs £18.

There will also be tea, coffee and biscuits available throughout the day.

Where is the conference held?

The conference is held at the Dewsbury Evangelical Church building.

Address:

Central Offices, Central Street, Dewsbury WF13 2LZ.

Get directions.

Can I get a refund for my ticket?

Unfortunately, we can't provide refunds for tickets that are no longer wanted/needed.

Refunding tickets has proven to be quite a time-consuming and complex process and isn't something our small team are able to continue doing.

If you can no longer come to the conference, please do email us to let us know as spaces are limited. You can always gift your place to someone else too - just let us know who we can expect on the day if so.

What time does it finish?

This year, the conference will formally finish just after 3pm (shortly after some time in breakout sessions and a final hymn).

Following this, there'll be some 'free time' until 4pm for a final chance to purchase books and to reflect on the day with each other over tea and coffee.

What do you believe?

At the very basic level, we believe that the Bible is the word of God and that the only way to be saved from sin and everlasting death is to trust and follow Jesus. So naturally, we hope all of our conference teaching holds these truths at the core.

But we know you're probably looking for more detail than that if you're asking this question!

We, as a committee, subscribe to the FIEC's Statement of Faith so please do give that  a read for a fuller answer to this question.

Do I have to be from West Yorkshire to attend?

You don't have to be from West Yorkshire to attend.

The conference is particularly helpful for those in the area as it gives a chance to catch up with, or meet, other local christian women.

However, you're welcome to attend no matter where you're based.

How much do conference tickets cost?

We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible to cover all conference costs.

For entry with lunch: £18

For entry without lunch: £8

Lunch is a full, catered buffet with plenty of options, (including dessert!).
